What can I say... "Shangri La", Jackie's third solo-album is my fave
80's album of Jackie! It has some of the best songs that Jackie has ever
sung! The best song is the English "Just for tonight" (actually a cover
version but way better than the original). Also "Beach Story", "Esperance",
"Don't stop for the romance" and "Only for your love" (also sung in
English) are wonderful. A very good friend of mine is crazy about the
track "Perfect night for a slow dance" which is actually not a real song..
Jackie talks to his sweetheart here and some women are singing in
the background, Jackie doesn't sing in this at all...
I think it's silly but my friend always gets so excited about Jackie's
deep English spoken lines that she drove us nearly into the next road
ditch when she heard it for the first time in her car!
hahahahahaha!*
(Jackie, are you conscious about how much your voice makes female fans
go crazy??? ^_^
An absolutely 10 out of 10. |
